  • can easily access your data.

Which data is affected?

FAQ section

  • What is a "user" for the purposes of the Data Act?

A "user" is any person or organization that uses a connected product or digital service - regardless of whether they are the owner or tenant. As a user, you have the right to access the data generated during use.

  • What is the Device ID / System ID / Device MAC Address and where can I find it?

The Device ID or Device MAC Address is an identifier of your device that is used for certain processes in which the device must identify itself, e.g. to receive suitable updates.

If you have grouped several Raumfeld speakers (Multiroom), the group is technically referred to by us as a system. The system also has an ID, which is required for analysis and support requests, for example. The device ID of the host (main loudspeaker of the system) is used as the system ID.

How you get to your device or system ID depends on your product. Below you will find a detailed description of where to find the information in the app:

    Teufel Home App

If your networked product is controlled via the Teufel Home app, you can find out the device ID yourself using the following method.

First you need the IP address of your device. You can find this as follows:

In the Teufel Home app, go to Settings → Technical details → Network settings → IPv4 address (e.g. 192.168.123.000)

Then enter the IP address in the address bar of your browser (e.g. 192.168.123.000)

You will be taken to a page with device data. In the Firmware Update section you will find the device ID (e.g. 87233e7f-7f61-4b96-b7e1-1a95d1b4f8ax)

    Teufel Raumfeld App

If your Teufel product is controlled via the Raumfeld app, you can find the device ID and the service ID for your device as described below.

Open the Settings app in the Raumfeld app (not the speaker settings)

App Settings → Maintenance → Reporting → activate the option "Show 'Send report' in menu"

You can now select "Send report" from the main menu. There you will find both the device ID and the system ID.

You can then deactivate the "Show 'Send report' in menu" option again. (in App Settings → Maintenance → Reporting)

    Teufel HOLIST App

If your networked product is controlled via the Teufel HOLIST app, you can find out the device MAC address yourself in the following way.

Open the Teufel HOLIST App and go to Settings - Speaker Info, there you will find the Device MAC Address

    Teufel Remote App

If your networked product is controlled via the Teufel Remote App, you can find out the Device MAC Address yourself in the following way.

Open the Teufel Remote App and go to Settings, where the Device MAC Address is displayed directly

  • What is the firmware version of my device and where can I find it?

The firmware version of your device indicates the status of the installed software. Teufel provides regular updates for your devices so that all embedded services remain secure and up to date. The devices are set so that you can find the updates independently as long as they are connected to power and the Internet.

How you get to the firmware version of your product depends on your product. Below you will find a detailed description of where to find the information in the app:

    Teufel Home App

You can find the firmware version of your product that is controlled via the Teufel Home app as follows

Open the Teufel Home app and go to Settings → Technical details → Firmware version

Here you can find your firmware version.

    Teufel Raumfeld App

You can find the firmware version of your product that is controlled via the Raumfeld app as follows

Open the Raumfeld app and go to the main menu → Settings → Updates

There you will find the current firmware version for each of your Raumfeld speakers

    Teufel HOLIST App

If your networked product is controlled via the Teufel HOLIST app, you can find out the firmware version yourself in the following way.

Open the Teufel HOLIST app and go to Settings - Versions, there you will find the firmware version

    Teufel Remote App

If your networked product is controlled via the Teufel Remote App, you can find out the device MAC address yourself in the following way.

Open the Teufel Remote App and go to Settings, where the firmware version is displayed directly

  • What is a crash report and how do I get it?

If you have activated the sending of crash reports in the Teufel Home app under "Settings → Other → Diagnostic reports", your device will send information to Teufel in the event of a crashed software process. Our developers regularly review the reports and observe systematic clusters or problems so that they can react if necessary.

The reports are only sent if the function is activated in the app, if you have agreed to send diagnostic reports and if a software process has crashed on your device. The reports are automatically deleted after 6 months.

You can receive the data of your crash reports on request via our form.

  • What are Playtime Statistics and how do I get them?

As information about the use of the devices and features, we evaluate aggregated data for the products ONE S, ONE M, CINEBAR LUX, STEREO M, STEREO L, Streamer about which music sources or interfaces are used by all users and to what extent. Device and system IDs are transmitted to prevent double counting, but are not analyzed.

You will receive your Playtime Statistics data on request via our form.

  • Can I have my data transferred to another service provider?

Yes, the Data Act allows you to have your data transferred to a third party provider.

  • Which third-party providers collect my data under the Data Act?

At Teufel, we work with third-party software providers to ensure that our sound always meets our quality standards. Our providers, Stream Unlimited and Frontier, also collect device data from you that you may receive under the Data Act. You will also receive this data via our contact form when you submit your request.

  • How long will it take to process my request?

We will process your request within 4 weeks at the latest, as required by the regulation. In exceptional cases, this period may be extended - in this case you will be informed in good time.

  • Are there any costs for me?

There are no costs for you.

  • What happens to my data after the request?

Your data will only be used to process your request. All stored information is subject to the applicable data protection laws (in particular the GDPR) and will not be passed on to third parties unless you expressly request this.

  • Third party products

In addition to our own products, we at Teufel also offer third-party products and accessories on our sales channels. In this way, we want to give you the best possible sound experience by purchasing products and accessories that match our portfolio.

The networked devices of the Panasonic brand, the Blu-ray players DP-UB154, DP-UB424 and DP-UB824 are also among the products covered by the EU Data Act. These devices collect the following data: Software, Debug Log, System Status Information, Total Time in Power-On State, Total Count of Power-Off/Power-On Cycles, Error History, Total HDD Runtime (Spin-Up Time), Laser Usage Time, HDD/Drive Error History.

You can find out how to access your data on these Panasonic devices here.
